(NEW) Andrea Costa, Brazil – Natural
This is the second coffee we've had this year from Bossa, a new importer we've started working with that specialises in Brazilian specialty coffee. I am particularly excited about this coffee because it comes from Andrea Costa, the mother of Bruna—who heads up Bossa.
Andrea and her brother Luis take care of their farm which belonged to their father who was once a big coffee exporter in Brazil. The farm is where Andrea has lived most of her life and where Bruna grew up.
The family has always produced fine coffees since, Andrea's father, started his export business in the 1970s. He was a pioneer in investing in different varietals and processing methods.
Andrea and Luis took this passion one step further once Bruna started working in specialty coffee internationally. Their ambition was to produce incredible specialty lots for her to sell and showcase around the UK and beyond.
Mother and daughter have a passion for the coffee industry and also for promoting the region where both grew up.
This particular lot features the Red Catuai variety, processed using the natural method.
The result is a coffee with beautiful notes of dark chocolate and macadamia, complemented by delicate jasmine florals—a perfect example of high-quality Brazilian specialty coffee that showcases both tradition and innovation.
