When roasting new coffees for the first time it can often take a couple of batches to get to a roast profile that we are happy with.

What this usually means is that in the process of getting there we end up with batches that don’t quite make the quality grade.

This coffee however tastes great and in some cases can taste really very good.

Historically we would sell this coffee at a discounted price to friends of ours.

First Batch and Friends is our way of letting you try it and get tasty coffee at a great price.

First Batch and Friends is a lucky dip made up of our first batches / test roasts and coffee aged between 3-8 weeks old that still tastes very good.

It’s available in 250g and 1kg bags and comes unbranded with a label stating the origin and the batch number and roast date
